Dictionnaire Linternaute app for iPhone and iPad

I would recommend this dictionary. It provides clear, concise and comprehensive definitions, offering synonyms and even English translations at times. The only feature that Id say is missing is the offline dictionary.

I use it every day just to check I dont make mistake in this complicated French language!!

Hello! I am Patrick and I use this app everyday. I can say it is more the a dictionary for me because it gives me opportunity to learn about other things, or historical event related to the word entered in the search bar. In addition, since I speak French, I can also learn English at the same time because they provide the English corresponding word too. I suggest you to use it and you will not be disappointed. I love this app and I use it frequently, please add a button to stop playing the videos automatically , this is the only problem with this app . Merci beaucoup

Makes improving my French a joy. (It does tend to crash on rare occasion, though, but it reboots quite fast so its not a big deal.) Much to offer for $0!! :D

The new version is good but the automatic ads are very annoying!! I will delete this very useful app from my iphone and ipad!! Sorry C.

There are always video publicities that stop my music from playing. There to many useless thing in the page.

Had to delete my favorite dictionnaire française with the new update because suddenly out of nowhere it plays LOUD video without any stop, mute, or close button. Only escape is to turn off the app. I often use this app at night while I read (French) and others are sleeping, so the sound is absolutely unwelcome. I will miss this app, so I will watch for another update that removes this awful feature & hopefully upgrades the search features. The only complaint I had (before this debacle) was that the app never recalls the searches. For example, if you enter a word & want to go search another form of the same word you have to type it all over. (Unlike a Google search where you enter, for example "applauder" & then want to search "applaudissment" you only have to edit the entry). Same goes for if you enter a mistake like "applaudissmnt," the dictionnaire doesnt guess your error, and in going back to correct it, youll find an empty search field. Jespère que les développeurs améliorer cette autrement bon app.

This was the best French dictionary I had found and had been using it regularly for nearly a year in my French classes and daily life. I loved the synonyms, French definitions, conjugations and citations. It was fantastic. Now the new update ruined it all. Ads take over every time I try to do anything and make it impossible to use (much less obnoxious) and it crashes all the time. What a disappointment. Now searching for a replacement.

really useful app but has a bug that occasionally locks up your phone for up to a minute. this should really be properly tested before release.

I used to love it ...with The video that plays automatically it s not pleasant at all but it a good app After all !
